Danielle SmithDanielle, a native of South Central Kentucky has lived in Bowling Green for over ten years. She is a graduate of Western KY University and was a Hilltopper Cheerleader for two of those years. She adopted a lifestyle of fitness early on and has competed in gymnastics, dance, martial arts, cheerleading, and golf. Danielle has explored many types of fitness programs before experiencing Barre and it’s mind-body workout. She knew right away she had to bring this "Diamond in the Rough" to the area when she saw the results for herself. Danielle holds several certifications that include Barre, Pilates, and Yoga. She is excited to share this unique and innovative way of life with you, so get ready to TRIM, TUCK, and TONE. |
Jennifer TravelstedJennifer graduated from Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. She has instructed group exercise classes for over 16 years and has valuable insights from her experience not only as a teacher but a professional fitness competitor. |
Laura HedgesLaura is a graduate of Western Kentucky University. She danced for 11 years and was a member of the WKU Topperettes for four years. Laura has competed at both the regional and national level with dance. After years of exercising in gyms and at home, she was introduced to Barre and fell in love with the new workout regimen. The unique exercises and structure of the classes appealed to her dance background and offered an experience unlike any other. In the short amount of time training for Barre Co.® certification, Laura saw drastic changes in herself- sculpted trapezius and lower back muscles, leaner abdominals, lifted glutes, and tighter quadriceps. She has now been teaching for over two years and still views Barre as the best workout for toning and stretching muscles. Laura loves taking clients through a personalized workout experience using her certifications in Barre and Pilates and seeing their bodies change as a result. Leah BeyerLeah Beyer has had over 8 years of classical ballet training. She has studied at several of the most prestigious ballet schools in the country including, The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of American Ballet, The Miami City Ballet, and graduated from The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida. She currently attends Western Kentucky University and is an Exercise Science major. Leah holds certifications in Barre Co.® and PIYO. Leah uses her years of pre-professional ballet and certifications to train her clients and help them achieve their fitness goals. |
Jessica CurtisJessica Curtis grew up in Franklin, KY and moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky to attend college at WKU. She was on the WKU Dance Team for four years. Jessica has always enjoyed an active lifestyle, including playing basketball, taking gymnastics, and dancing for over twenty years. She is also a dance instructor for two different local studios. Jessica was one of the first instructors and has been with Barre Co.® from its opening, and has loved it from the beginning! |
Allie GilliamAllie, a native of South Central Kentucky has lived in Bowling Green for over ten years. She was a graduate of Western KY University and is committed to a lifestyle of fitness and wellness. Allie has participated in a variety of fitness programs in the past, but nothing changed her body like Barre Co.® After taking this phenomenal workout for 6 months, Allie was excited to become an instructor, offering the same results she saw to her clients. |
Lorelei McCormickLorelei graduated from Austin Peay State University with a B.S. in Accounting and has worked for the IRS for over 33 years. She moved to Bowling Green in 2005 and began taking pilates and step classes from Jennifer Travelsted. Having been committed to a fitness routine for over 10 years, Lorelei was interested in a new type of workout that was for the whole body and that provided variety. When Jennifer and Danielle Smith introduced her to the barre workout two years ago and then asked her to join the Barre Co.® team, she was excited to be a part of this experience. She could personally see and feel that the barre workout strengthens the entire body and develops tremendous flexibility. She especially encourages women in their 40s, 50s, and older to try the Barre Co.® workout to help them feel younger and healthier as she has discovered for herself. Lorelei holds certification in Barre Co.® and pilates mat.

Beth LowderBeth, born and raised in Bowling Green, has been involved in fitness since a young age. She received a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science degree from the University of Louisville. Beth participated in dance, softball and tennis growing up. Throughout the years she has explored many different fitness avenues, including kick boxing, spinning, group aerobics, Pilates and running. She was first in line when her friends opened up Barre Co.®, and immediately saw the changes in her body that she had never been able to achieve with other fitness routines. Beth was honored to join the Barre Co.® Team as an instructor and currently holds certification in Barre Co.® |
